Josh Pfeiler Obituary (1983 - 2021)

Josh Pfeiler, 38 of Rochester, formerly of Virden passed away Friday, April 1, 2021 at HSHS St. John's Hospital in Springfield. He was born January 3, 1983 in Springfield the son of Ray Wheeler and Patricia Pfeiler. Josh had proudly served his Country in the Illinois Army National Guard, but his greatest pride was being a loving Father to his son Carter. He is survived by his parents Ray and Patricia of Sesser, IL; son Carter Brantley Pfeiler at home; brothers Jeremy Pfeiler of Girard, Jake (Crystal) Pfeiler of Christopher, IL, Jason Wheeler of Sesser, IL; sisters Amber Wheeler of Girard, Tonya Pfeiler of Auburn; Grandmother Lona Fuson of Texas and numerous Aunts, Uncles and Cousins. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00PM on Wednesday, April 7, 2021 at the Airsman & Calvert Funeral Home in Virden with Pastor Bob Wise officiating. Private Family Burial will be held at Virden Cemetery, Virden. Visitation will be from 12 Noon until the time of services Wednesday at the Funeral Home. Memorials are suggested and may be made to a Fund for Carter Brantley Pfeiler, c/o Jeremy Pfeiler and will be received by Airsman & Calvert Funeral Home in Virden which is honored to be caring for Josh's family.
