Kathy Conover Obituary (1955 - 2020)

Kathy C. Conover, 64, of Virden, Ill. passed away Tuesday June 16, 2020, at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born November 27, 1955, in Peoria, Ill. She was the daughter of Thomas and Virginia (White) McWethy. Kathy was a dedicated mother and grandmother. She was a music and movie enthusiast. She took early retirement from AT&T in 2010 and retired from Dickey-John in 2017. She worked most of her life and was very happy to finally retire. She loved to love on people and made friends everywhere she went. She was the type of person that people gravitate towards, who feel like sunshine. She put a different meaning behind the quote, "If you can't find a good person, be one." She treasured her family and embraced every moment with them. She leaves behind a dysfunctional family that she is very proud of and a hell of a lot of stuff. Until her health condition made it impossible, Kathy was active in her life and loved outdoor time. She was a rare combination of someone who had a love for life and an understanding of what is important- the simplicity of living a life with those you love. She will be missed every minute of every day. Surviving Kathy are her son, Kristopher Conover (Lyn); daughters, Jennifer Conover and Michelle (Benjamin) Reese; three grandchildren, Dylan Conover (who lived with Kathy), Brayden Reese and Jenna Boaz; sister, Patricia McWethy-Wolf and fiance, Jeff Austif. Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, Michael Conover; sister, Donna Melson and brothers, Dennis and Timothy Mcwethy.
