Kerry Atwood Obituary (1951 - 2020)

Kerry Atwood,69 of Virden, passed away on Thursday, September 24, 2020 at his daughter's home Auburn, Il. He was born in Peoria, Il on February 15, 1951 to Paul and Muriel Atwood both of which have preceded him in death. Kerry was a lifelong carpenter whose passion was building furniture and artwork out of old barnwood he had restored. He loved spending time in his workshop, collecting antiques and being outdoors. He was always happy to help anyone that ever-needed anything especially when it came to building something for there home. Kerry was very proud of his grandchildren he loved to spoil them with candy every time he saw them and take them to breakfast on Sunday's He will be missed dearly. There will a celebration of life for Kerry at the Palm Tree Pub 252 E Jackson Virden, Il 62690. From 2-4 pm October 11, 2020. He is survived by his children Shaun Stauffer(Dawn), Lindsay(Jason) Dennis and Chelsea(Kevin) German; grandchildren, Tucker, Emily, Skylar, Sloan, Dakota, Mason, Hannah, Lindsay, Julia and Christina, and siblings, Paul Atwood, Kim Atwood, Alicia Grisby, Glynnis Schyrock, Val Atwood, Dane Atwood and Ethan Atwood as well as many other extended family and friends.
