Michael Kirby Obituary (1949

Michael Kirby, 72 of Virden passed away September 18, 2022 at his home. He was born October 4, 1949 in Springfield son of Jack B. and Bettie (Gibson) Kirby, Sr. Michael graduated from Virden High School and joined the United States Navy. While in the Navy, he saw the World and had even sailed to the South Pole. Upon leaving the Navy, he spent numerous years working for the Mt. Sinai Center in California. Michael is survived by his brother Jack B. (Sherry) Kirby, Jr. of Chatham and nieces and great nieces and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and aunts and uncles. In keeping with the wishes of Michael, he will be cremated and no public services will be held. Airsman & Calvert Funeral Homes, Virden is honored to be caring for Michael's family.
