Virginia L. Huffman Obituary (1951 - 2021)

Virginia L. Huffman, 70 of Virden passed away suddenly Friday, August 27, 2021 at HSHS St. John's Emergency Room. She was born April 6, 1951 in Lansing, Michigan daughter to Lawrence and Bessie (Turner) Lettimore. She married William Schofield and he preceded her in death. She then married Carl Huffman and he also preceded her in death. Virginia loved gardening, especially her flower garden. Her greatest love was her grandchildren and spending time with them. She is survived by her daughters Angela (Donny) Long of Hillview, Caroline (Gary) Schulze of Waverly, Sandy (Jim) Montgomery of Virden and Debra (Aaron) Stanberry of Lowder, 12 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren; brothers Robert (Marilyn) Lettimore of Longmont, CO and Roger (Tammy) Lettimore of Waverly and her sister Joyce Gregory of Jacksonville, IL and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her two husbands, she was preceded in death by her parents, daughter Regina Schofield, brother Lawrence Lettimore, Jr. and sisters Beverly Lettimore and Edith Marsh. Funeral Services will be held at 6:00 PM Friday, September 3. 2021 at Airsman & Calvert Funeral Homes, Virden with her grandson Nicholas Andresen officiating. Visitation will be Friday, September 3, 2021 from 4:00 PM until the time of services. In keeping with her wishes, cremation rites will follow the services and a private family burial will take place at a later date at Panther Creek Cemetery in Scottville. Memorials are suggested and may be made to the Donor's Choice and will be received by Airsman & Calvert Funeral Homes, Virden who is honored to be caring for Virginia's family.
