The Future

The Future

Past, Present, and Future

We are proud to announce that Patrick Young, a long-term team member and funeral director, has joined our group in Virden and Girard. Patrick moves to Virden with nearly thirty years of serving families with kindness and he looks forward to being part of the community. He grew up in Shelbyville and has a grown daughter, son and four grandchildren. He has been serving families in Pana for the last ten years. Patrick will be active in reaching out to area churches and service clubs while meeting folks at the coffee shops in order to meet and get to know each one of you.

Bill Ferry’s retirement left big shoes to fill. His twenty-nine years of service to area families is impossible to replace overnight and we realize the search for just the right person takes time. With Patrick, the area will come to see a dedicated and good-natured funeral director who will work hard to earn your trust. Bill is enjoying spending more time with his wife Gayla and his family, especially after working so hard in the area to meet your needs. We applaud him for taking time, most deservedly for Gayla and himself, and to savor the rewards of his efforts. Please welcome Patrick, a fine gentleman and dedicated professional. We look forward to working together in his new position and to making significant improvements to the Girard facility while bringing a new level of energy to our funeral homes.

Both of our families have served the area for years. The Calvert’s have especially enjoyed their working relationship with Bill Ferry and know the new relationship with the Airsman group will ensure Virden and Girard quality, compassionate funeral service that will remain strong for years to come.
